Full-time Program
Tumwater Middle School Health and Fitness is a program developed to help students learn
and master skills necessary to life a long and healthy life. This includes skills related to movement, physical fitness, nutitrion,
growth and development, reducing health risks and living safely.
TMS beleives in providing quality physical education that is meaningful and directly related
to life expereinces and situations. By teaching to personal experiences students will take in and learn more information understanding
its real life implications.

As our students grow up and graduate they soon realize that a small percentage will actually
go on to be physically active through sports in situations like college and the pro's. We want to help students understand
that their is much more that just team sports to keep a person physically active. That is why TMS believes in teaching lifetime
leisure sports such as hiking, rock climbing, disc golf and much more. Their is a place for team sports as much as their is
a place for individual activities like lifetime leisures.

Our morning program is also popular. This is for younger students just beginning to go to school. The morning program offers
the same strong academics and activities as our other programs.
